Francesco Narducci Marin (Colombia)
I live outside of the USA, On my city there is not a good ofert of cuality saxo. My wife and I investigate on the Internet and decided to take a risk. My wife is learnig alto sax and his teacher was amazing by the sound quiality at that price. This saxo is realy good value, I can not imagine a better one for the price.

5 out of 5 stars Great product without the 1000 dollar price   February 28, 2010

Several points had to be considered before we purchased this sax. We had purchased a tenor sax for my niece in school for over 1000 dollars. Even rent to own, this is costly. The sax, though maintained and good condition, was used and dinged up a little. For under 400 dollars you can get a New instrument ready to play. This sax is for a teen that might not have the commitment to stick with it. Why commit to a higher price. You want to maintain and repair the instrument. Hyson music ships same or next day and sends contact numbers. Many other companies may not be so open for contact or communication and have no desire for continued care of the product. You want the sax to play well and have a quality build. My niece checked it out and found it plays well with great sound. The instrument is solid. No flimsy buttons or parts. It came from Hyson in a great case, a reed, and cleaning cloth. You could rent a sax for 50 a month and pay more in a school year for a used product.

5 out of 5 stars Highly recommended - great customer service   February 22, 2010

The case was damaged in transit. Hyson immediately sent a replacement and return shipping label for the damaged original, and were very apologetic. The saxophone looks and sounds great. My daughter has very small hands and has struggled with other saxophone brands but finds this one easy to play. We are all very pleased and would definitely recommend both the saxophone and the company.

5 out of 5 stars Excellent product   February 5, 2010

I rented a saxaphone for my daughter for 3 months from a big music store while I was researching on buying one. I bought this nearly 3 months ago and the day she took this for the saxaphone lessons, her music instructor who has been teaching for 40 years told her that this sounded better than the one that was rented(more than $1500 to buy). My daughter loves this instrument and I love the price tag.

4 out of 5 stars Very pleased with the sound/quality   November 23, 2009

I have to admit I was a little wary about purchasing a NEW sax for less than $500. I was sure I would be getting a lemon, but thought that for the price I had to at least give it a try! I have been playing Sax (alto and soprano) since the 80's. I was playing on an old Artist II Alto and was ready to replace it. The sax arrived quickly and works very smoothly. I gave it 4 stars because I didn't like the mouthpiece that it came with. Like most saxophones, if you really want a quality sound, you need to get a NICE mouthpiece. It works, but with my own mouthpiece the sound was incredible. My 2nd day playing it, one of the ivory-colored buttons fell off one of the keys. I called customer service and they are supposedly sending some super glue to reattach the button (fairly minor problem). It was nice that I could buy it and know that if I wasn't happy I could send it back. This one's a keeper for me though. I especially like the lower notes on this sax. Usually I have a rough time playing the really low notes (C,Bb), but with this sax, I'm able to play these low notes so well-controlled. Quite pleased and would recommend this sax to anyone. I would recommend going to one of your local music stores and trying out a few different mouthpieces to get an even better sound.
